Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Announced

Treyarch, the developer of the new Call of Duty (CoD) title, announced the release of the third game in Black Ops series. CoD: Black Ops 3 is set to hit PC, PS 4 and Xbox One on the 6th of November, 2015. Though almost everything about the game is kept in secret, Mark Lamia, the head of the project, lifted the veil of mystery and shared some of the details.

The single player campaign will take place in the 'near' future (after the events of Black Ops 2) and the soldiers will have their bodies modified with all sorts of weapons. Players will be able to team up via the Internet and local network for co-op walkthrough. The storyline is also said to be non-linear, and the plot will depend on the player's actions. That's all we know about the campaign so far. As for the gameplay, probably, the most important change in the series will be the introduction of character customization options. Black Ops 3 will provide players not only with the ability to change the way the protagonist looks, but also to determine the gender: "It's not just a female head on a male body. It's a different set of animations for the entire game," Lamia said. The RPG element of the game will also let the players develop skills, abilities and the arms their characters use. The mechanics were also revamped to provide players with more dynamic gameplay and total control over their weapons. No matter what the character does: jumps, crawls or runs across the walls (yep, they made it more 'Titanfallish'), you will always be able to shoot somebody or even plant a bomb. Not much is known about the new stuff in the multiplayer mode, but it will also feature the old system of achievements, badges and weapon improvements. The developers also introduced 'gunsmith mode' that the players can use to create unique weapons.

The game is currently available for pre-order, and if you decide to purchase it straight away, you will be also granted beta access. For more coverage, check the official website of the game.
