ISI Updater doesn't function for Professor teaches Excel 2007

Hi,

i've recently purchased a CD ROM - "Professor teaches Microsoft Excel 2007"

When trying to run the software I receive the notification "checking for updates" " Starting ISI Updater v.1.0.32 @

But  suddenly the notification disappears. I am unable to run the program.

I may have inadvertently deleted something which prevents the program from running.

As I am no expert I would deeply appreciate any advice on how to resolve the problem.
