Comparing Software Informer with FileHippo and Secunia, I could verify that it seems to give more information and less errors.
There's a drawback, though - it sees only programs under "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86)".
What about portable programs?
For me they are in "Progs".
Is there a way to add a programs folder (since there's no provision for that in Settings)?

Steps to Create Portable App
Step 1: Downloading Programs. You will need : Uniextract.
Step 2: Install Uniextract and Winrar. Tip Question Comment.
Step 3: Uniextract File. Right click your setup file and click “UniExtract here”
Step 4: Archive Files. Archive name -> Name of your portable program.
Step 5: Testing. Test it.
