How can I update SI client?

1. Click on this link and select "Save Target As". Place this on your computer where it will be easily accessible to you.

2. After the download is complete, click on the file where you have saved it.

3. You will be asked if you want to install SI client. Click Next.

4. You will be asked to accept the license agreement. Check "I accept the agreement" and click Next and follow Wizard instructions.

What is it all about?

Software Informer is a service for sharing information about programs installed on your PCs.

Browsing SI site, you will be able to see the software installed on other users´ PCs, download programs and read and add comments and questions.

To enjoy the service to the full, you should do both create your account on the site and install SI client on your PC.

With SI client installed, you will also be able to see the list of programs installed on your PC, download updates for them using the corresponding links in your profile and get notifications about updates that interest you.

What is SI client?

SI client is an application that is part of Software Informer service. It scans your machine and populates the list of programs installed on your PC. This list is also displayed in your profile on the site and can be viewed by other users as well. A convenient feature enabled by the client is that you can track updates available for the software on your PC right in your profile and download them using the links given.

Is SI client safe to use?

What are the requirements?

SI client works on any Windows PC running Vista, XP, 2003, 2000, ME or 98.

Where do I sign up?

You can sign up either manually on the site or automatically upon installing SI client.

Some programs listed in my profile don´t seem to be installed on my PC...

Those can be programs integrated into your operating system. You can check them out by choosing Start/Control Panel/Add and Remove Programs.

How can I rate my programs?

Log in onto the site, click on the program link that will lead you to the program page and rate the program there.
