Google's Street View comes back to iPhone Google's Street View comes back to iPhone

Not so long ago, we had a chance to enjoy virtual diving with Google, after it had rolled out a new Street View feature - panoramic underwater views. Nearly at the same time, we witnessed the unfortunate launch of iOS6, the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system, and its “amazing” maps. The latter caused utter frustration in numerous users and, consequently, led to official public apologies from the Apple team. Apparently, all these scandalous facts have pushed Google to rescue Apple's reputation and help out its users by making Street View available for iPhone users via their mobile browser.

On Thursday, Google updated its mobile Web Maps (which is still the only way for iPhone users to use Google Maps) and integrated the Street View functionality into it, bringing the service back to Apple's gadgets. To access Street View with 360-degree panoramic images of covered areas, you just need to go to maps.google.com on your iOS device and then select the location you want to view.

As Apple always aims for excellent quality of its production, this return of a popular Google service came as good news for eager fans of the “notorious” iPhone 5. Now its users can get back to loading Street View on the go, which makes this device more comprehensive and really valuable.

“Starting today, use Street View on your mobile browser to check out a new shop across town or get a feel for the ambiance at a restaurant before you arrive. To use Street View on your mobile browser simply go to maps.google.com and search for a location”, Google wrote in its blog.

So, if you crave for exciting travel experience or just need help in reaching your destination, open Google Maps in your mobile browser and enjoy!

If it worked in a proper way, it'd be a great feature. Sorry, it isn't.
