Best ways to recover a disabled Facebook account Best ways to recover a disabled Facebook account

Judging by its numbers, Facebook is no longer a pastime, but actually an integral part of most people's day-to-day lives, so it's no wonder that for many, not being able to access their accounts anymore would be a real tragedy. This is why I thought we should talk about the steps that you need to take in case your Facebook account has been blocked, hacked or if you've changed your mind about deleting your own profile from the social network.

Blocked Account

If you're trying to log in on Facebook and you're seeing the following message: "Account disabled", it means that the social network has blocked your account. This could happen because of something you posted (offensive, violent or pornographic content), because of spamming or because the platform suspects that the account is a fake identity. If you didn't do anything wrong and this was a mistake from the social network, you need to go to this page: https://www.facebook.com/help/www/103873106370583/ using a computer and click on the submit an appeal button as shown in the image above. A new page will open up where you will have to fill in the email address or the phone number that you've been using to log into your account, the full name listed as listed in the account and an image of one of your IDs. Finally, in the additional info box, you will have to tell the service why you're appealing: the reason for using a fake name, evidence that someone else posted content in your name, if you suspect that someone has hacked your account, some sort of evidence that someone is harassing you or intentionally trying to get your account blocked. Once you're done, click the Send button and if Facebook has granted your appeal you will receive an email telling you that your account has been reactivated.

Hacked Account

In case some has hacked your account and you can no longer log in with the email and password that you were using before, the first thing that you need to try is to Reset your password. In the login screen, click on the Forgot my password button, then go to the Reset my password section, enter the recovery email(s) and a new password will be sent to you. If the person who hacked you is spamming people, posting unwanted content or is barring you from recovering your account, go to https://www.facebook.com/hacked/ and report your account as being compromised. While you're waiting for Facebook to solve your situation you should also try to notify your friends that you're no longer in control of your account so that they don't get duped by phishing scams or other evil schemes.

Self-disabled account

Lastly, if you've changed your mind about deleting your Facebook account and it hasn't been more than 14 days since you activated the option, all you have to do is to log in the usual way, using your email/phone number and password, then click the Cancel Deletion button. However, if it's been more than two weeks since you've disabled your account, there's nothing that you can do about it anymore.

There you have it friends, these are the best ways to recover a disabled or hacked Facebook account. As you can see, the social network tries to make it as easily possible to regain access to your accounts. Actually, most services take human error into account and give you ways to recover your lost passwords, whether we're talking about email clients, operating systems or various other services.
