Topic: Why does *SI* inform me of updates to programs that need no update??

I have used this program twice & each time it gives me the same INCORRECT information. I'm sure I am not alone on this issue & I was wondering if anyone else has experienced these same problems? Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Let me suggest that there be a local fix to temporarily or permanently remove errors or unwanted "upgrades".

For me the following is wrong:

Ad-Aware

Adobe download manager

Garmin USB Drivers

Quicken 2009

Windows Defender

In addition to this, I get update notices to upgrade from freeware versions to paid versions which I don't want:

Network Magic

pdf995

No, Lloyd, you are not alone though I find the bugs minor and SI works better than most other similar programs I've found.

The errors I'm currently experiencing are:

Minefield (Firefox) - Tells me there is a version 4 available.  The latest available version is 3.7a1pre.

Realtek AC'97 Audio - Says version 6.3.0.5 is the newest version.  Actual newest version is 5.37.6305.

I have offered this information via the links on the software pages to correct information.

Software that I have installed that is not being displayed at all are:

Rocket Torrents
Quicktime Alternative
